The grade 1 class has had a busy and learning filled first few months of school. As a part of our needs of plants and animals unit in science, we have been doing a study of owls. Our class has been monitoring a live-feed of a barn owls nest. Didi and Jasper the owls have laid a clutch of five eggs this year. So far three of them have hatched and we are excited to watch their growth each day. Students also had the opportunity to dissect an owl pellet, taking out the bones to determine what types of prey an owl eats.
